Graphic Designer

Location: Albuquerque, NM. Potential for Remote Work. In-Person Preferred.

Status: Full-Time, Benefits-Eligible Position 

Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your skills for a greater purpose? Sagebrush is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team! The Graphic Designer role will create visual storytelling through graphic layouts, branding, and multimedia elements. Your keen eye for design aesthetics, and the ability to translate concepts into compelling visual assets will make a difference in the lives of others as we pursue our mission: to know Christ and to make Christ known.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Dynamic and growing relationship with Christ, and enjoy a way of life that is Jesus-focused.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a relevant creative education degree (illustration design, multimedia design, or related degree) or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in graphic design is required.
• Illustration skills are strongly preferred.
• Possess a strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography.
• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design responsibilities include conceptualization and design of social media posts, series art, branding, apparel, posters, booklets, and various print and digital work. 
• Utilize your proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Primarily Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, to conceptualize and develop projects for social media/web/print layouts.
• Using your Photoshop knowledge and skills, you’ll complete digital illustrations from multiple images/sources.
• Work on projects through phases, from concept to rough layouts, to final layouts.
• Your knowledge of pre-press formats and specifications will be used to properly prepare a press-ready art layout for submission to vendors.
• Work on social media/web/app formats and specifications to properly save artwork for web use.
• The primary role is the production of work that requires invention, imagination, originality, and talent that is recognized in the field of artistic and creative endeavors.
• Take on any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and be in alignment with our church values.
